Gob, it’s been a while. I’m so sorry for my absence for anyone who religiously followed Everyone Is Finn. Classes and mental stagnation have been the bane of my productivity.
HOWEVER, I’d like you to know that I’m getting back into the swing of card design, and as a special treat, I thought I’d share with you all a few kernels from SERIES 2!!
One thing you may notice is the revamped text. As it turns out, the black on dark blue was a terrible idea and I may burn in the firey pits of the hellscape for it. SO, instead it’s white now. All of the card edges were cleaned up too for the purposes of TheGameCrafter printing.
Finally, I have sent an official copy to Pendleton Ward on the recommendation of Eric from frederator. If all goes well, maybe he’ll even like it a little, who knows!

Oh my gob oh my gob oh my gob oh my gob!
It’s HERE! The first full print of Everyone is Finn is IN MY HANDS! The cards (while with visible white on some of the edges) are superb. The stickers have not been used yet. I wish Gamecrafter had included some card stock to USE the stickers on… Nevertheless, I will not fault them for that unless it becomes a glaring problem.
The rulebook is also printed on normal paper (depressing). However, I would have gladly sent away 15 dollars for just the cards, which are on the same stock used for playing cards, so we have a win there.
Three copies are here, and as soon as I properly assemble one, it goes right off to frederator for the holidays!

Update out of NOWHERE!
Hey guys! After a bunch of late nights and being consumed by my gaming hobby, here we are at The Game Crafter where Everyone is Finn has finally had every single card trimmed and filed to appropriate size where I’m about to order the ceremonial first copy-
You can see what it looks like right HERE
I’ll be sending a copy off to frederator, and if I can wrangle permission from them, I’d like to put the game up for sale at JUST the production costs over at TGC, which would run you $13.74 plus shipping- no profit to either TGC or myself whatsoever, so you have the option of a print-out version AND a real, quality set of cards.
Whaddya’ guys think? If you’d like the idea, send an email to the folks at frederator!
As always, reblog, repost, and tell Pen Ward that his bears make me sad that they’re not MY bears.

Would it be at all possible for us to upload Everyone is Finn to the Game Crafter to publish it and have a personal copy?
This is a wonderful question, and the simple answer is that I don’t actually know.
I would email them and ask them if you’re allowed to have a Print & Play game uploaded even if it’s not your work.
Otherwise, there’s a distinct problem I’m running into with this site (and since I have the PSD files, it’d be way worse for everyone else). Most of my file sizes are SLIGHTLY off. All the cards are 750x1050 px, while the site needs 825x1125. The tokens are all about half the size they’re supposed to be, and the card backs were not included in the .rar download I gave to the public, since I figured most people wouldn’t have a use for them.
I’m working through the problem right now, but it’s… tedious.
I don’t think there’d be anything horribly wrong with it, but it’d be a thing to ask both frederator and Game Crafter.
Little update
Hey everyone, this is of very little consequence to anyone (since I cannot legally sell the game in printed card format), but I found a nifty little site thanks to my reddit friends.
The Game Crafter
Basically, it’s a site that lets you upload your own custom board or card games entirely and sell them 1 unit at a time as people want to buy them (for relatively cheap prices too!) instead of having to take out a loan to buy 5000 units at once and convince game shops to carry them.
So, right now I’m finishing uploading the game so that I can buy a few copies for my own personal use. The first will go to Frederator’s base of operations as a “thank you” for supporting the project in spirit while the other two will be kept within my circle of friends.
I just wanted to share a really cool website with you guys that might help any of you making a game along the path to fame and fortune~

Following up with yet another reminder (I bet people that think I’m saying something new or interesting are getting sick of this) that Everyone is Finn has been officially completed through series 1 and the entire game can be downloaded HERE (37 MB .rar)
Stay with us and make comments, ask questions, or post about your experiences playing Everyone is Finn!
As always, reblog, repost, and tell Pen Ward he’s a swell fella’.

Just a reminder that Everyone is Finn is officially complete through Series 1, and the game can be downloaded (including rules and Willpower tokens) HERE (37 MB .rar)
As always, reblog, repost, and tell Pen Ward that his name is kinda’ great.

Please don't lump off. :( Also, I mentioned this game to a few of my friends and I think I will run a play through at our anime convention next year. You ROCK
I won’t be gone permanent-styles.
I’ll still check the tumblr every day and I’ll do updates about how series 2 is progressing, asking for ideas and suggestions as always~
Please do! I hope it goes well- The games I’ve hosted so far have been a lot of fun, but have usually been a little long (15 Willpower is always stretching it a bit…)
Dude, you have to find a way to pitch this Idea to Pen Ward, you gonna try? I think anything Adventure Time is great, and your idea is Algebraic! lol
=D
Thanks! I don’t have a way of talking to Pen Ward directly, but frederator has acknowledged the project and they even think it’s a good idea! (best night ever)
I’m pretty sure in a week or two when I get all the logistics figured out, I’ll be mailing out a full copy of the game to them to play around with.
With any luck, Pen will hear about it, play a round, and might contact me himself, but I know he’s a busy guy and doesn’t have time for an amateur game designer.
EDIT: I actually hadn’t thought about this when I first answered, but the obvious thing I should’ve said is that people like Pen hear about projects like this when a lot of people bring it to his attention… ;P
I think his email address is available on his site
Oh my glob, I love you so lumping much.
<3 I’m just glad that people are excited to play something I could put some time and effort into~
